Prof. Statty Stattev Is Elected for A Deputy Chairman of The Rectors Council of Bulgarian Universities

At its first session on March, 6th, the new Board of the Rectors Council of Bulgarian Universities elected for its Deputy Chairman Prof. Statty Stattev, Rector of UNWE.

A month ago Prof. Statty Stattev was elected for a member of the Board of the Rectors Council of Bulgarian Universities by a majority. At the General Assembly of the association conducted at the Large Conference Hall of UNWE for its Chairman was elected Prof. Vanio Mitev, Rector of the Medical University of Sofia – by 32 of total 48 votes, rivaling with the other two candidates for the post: Prof. Stoyan Detchev, Rector of the University of Library Science and Information Technologies and Prof. Plamen Legkostup, Rector of the University of Veliko Tarnovo. By a secret vote were elected six more members of the association.

Over the last four years for two mandates a Chairman of the Rectors Council of Bulgarian Universities was Prof. Borislav Borisov, Former Rector of UNWE. To the General Assembly he presented his report for the association activity during the period of May, 10th, 2010 – December, 31st, 2011.
