The newly formed ENGAGE.EU's Board of Learners (BoL) has already held its first online session. The student Board will represent the interests of more than 100 000 learners at the European University ENGAGE.EU part of which is also the UNWE.

Each partner university has a delegation of two representatives in the Board of Learners which amounts to a total of 14 members. One BoL member holds a seat in the ENGAGE.EU’s Governing Board and two further members take part in the Executive Committee. The BoL’s core focus will be improving the European educational perspectives.

The UNWE is represented by Alexander Dorohin and Martina Demirova. They are students of speciality Marketing and Strategic Planning taught in English. As members of the ENGAGE.EU Board of Learners they will defend the interests of students at different project stages. Their objective is to achieve the most efficient involvement of students in various activities during and after the end of the project. Here is what Alexander Dorohin /in the picture below/ has shared about the initiative:

“ENGAGE.EU is a very interesting project by the student`s point of view because it provides an opportunity to work jointly with professors and students from abroad. When I joined the team the application was still in process of elaboration and the feedback to students had a key role for it. In the beginning I was very embarrassed because I have never worked on such a project so far but over the time the work began to happen smoothly.”

About her joining to BoL Martina Demirova shares that she has had a very pleasant impression from the first meeting with the other representatives. “Because of the surrounding circumstances the meeting was held online but it has perfect organization and the best bonus was the wide smiles of everyone. I have great hopes for better future and serious expectations about the development and implementation of the project.”

“All students from the ENGAGE.EU Board of Learners are opened to various opinions and all issues are put forward for discussion. We plan to build up the necessary structures for the future ENGAGE.EU students”, says in addition Alexander.
