Fourth Year Student Girl from the UNWE Was Elected as Bulgarian Youth Delegate to the UN

The new Bulgarian Youth Delegates to the UN were announced in an official ceremony at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. One of them is Bogomila Karamanova - fourth year student girl, speciality Finance and Accountancy, English language teaching, UNWE. She has been a trainee at the American Embassy and she works in the financial sector.

In the current year the selection campaign for youth delegates to the UN was again organized in four rounds. The last stage was reached by 9 youths from the short listed 150 candidates. The finalists went in for an interview with jury.

The Bulgarian youth delegate to the UN is included in the Bulgarian delegation to the UN General Assembly as well as in the Commission for Social Development (CSocD) established by the UN Economic and Social Council and works on the world organization decisions concerning the youth.

The position of youth delegate to the UN is spread in 40 countries all over the world. The Bulgarian UN Youth Delegate Programme sets Bulgaria among the world and European countries-leaders recognizing young people as equal partners in decision-making processes at national and international level.
