Lecturer from the UNWE Was Elected As Member of INTOSAI

Chief Assist. Dr. Toma Donchev, lecturer at the UNWE Financial Control Department was elected as member of the Forum for INTOSAI Professional Pronouncements (FIFP), part of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) including the supreme control bodies of 194 countries.

The UNWE lecturer is elected for the mandate period 2019-2021 when it is expected to develop fields as strengthening the independence of supreme audit institutions and control on the quality of auditing work, communication with the interested parties and the impact of information technologies on auditing.

Chief Assist. Dr. Toma Donchev is nominated by the Bulgarian National Audit Office where he is Director of the Audit Activity Development Directorate.

The public sector audit has an objective to enhance the effectiveness, accountability and transparency of state management. Implementing an objective and professional audit is impossible if there`s no common rules. The role of FIPP is namely to create and maintain the auditing standards and instructions to them.
