Students from Six Universities Study Mediation in Riga

This summer from 9th until 20th of July 40 students from Latvia, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Lithuania are participating in ERASMUS+ Intensive Course „Negotiation and Mediation. Cross-border Dispute Resolution Training supported by On-line Tools”.

In this Course participants are bachelor and master level students from 6 partner Universities. Lessons and practical seminars are offered by professors from 4 partner Universities as well as professional mediators. During the course students explore topic of mediation, learn theory, participate in study visits, discussions with professional mediators and also train practical skills through role-plays and simulations.

This year special attention is made to on-line mediation and new technics and on-line tools in mediation field. Project partners in frame of the project develop on-line mediation training platform. This intensive course is great possibility to test newly developed platform and receive feedback from students.

Platform will be officially launched and will be available for any interested university or mediation training institution from March 2019. More information is available on http://mediation.turiba.lv

This Course is implemented by Turiba University (Latvia) in a cooperation with 5 partner Universities – University of Genoa (Italy), Mykolas Romeris University (Lithuania), University of National and World Economy (Bulgaria), University of Graz (Austria) and University of Economics, Prague (Czech Republic).
