Certificates for the Winners in the National Competition in Applied Informatics

105 pupils from John Atanasov Vocational High School of Electronics, Sofia, M. V. Lomonosov National Vocational High School of Precise Technics, Vocational High School of Electro-Technics and Automatics, National Trade and Banking High School, Vocational High School of Light Industry and Tourism, Dr. Ivan Bogorov Vocational High School of Economics, Nesho Bonchev High School, National Enlighteners School No.144 and Nikola Obreshkov High School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Kazanlak, obtained Certificates of excellent presentation in the National Competition in Applied Informatics. According to the UNWE Academic Council Decision their result is recognized as an excellent grade for successful entrance examination in the subfield of Applied Informatics, Communications and Econometrics, speciality Business Informatics and Communications.  

Future students

The maximum score was achieved by three high school graduates from John Atanasov Vocational High School of Electronics – Denis Cheleby, Vasil Georgiev and Ivan Chapalov. For the successful coordination of the Competition the Director of the Vocational School Polina Kostova was awarded a special Diploma by the Rector of UNWE Prof. D.Sc. (Econ.) Statty Stattev. The Diploma was bestowed on her by Prof. Valentin Goev, Vice Rector for Scientific Research Activity (in the picture below).

Prof. Goev greeted the high school graduates and said that the students studying in the specialty Informatics had not been much in comparison to the total number of students at the UNWE but all that had graduated from the speciality had found a highly paid job. He outlined the perfect command of English language and the high computer literacy as especially important for the successful future realization.

Prof. Dr. Kamelia Stefanova, Dean of the Applied Informatics and Statistics Faculty and Head of the Information Technologies and Communications Department explained that the speciality could be studied in English language but the pupils should pass the English language examination for prospective students.

The Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lyuben Boyanov emphasized that the most modern disciplines had been studied at the Applied Informatics and Statistics and the way of teaching had been improved all the time because of the technological progress.
