Students from The Law Faculty Visited The Prosecutors' Offices of Appeals - Sofia

Students from the Law Faculty of UNWE visited the Prosecutors' Offices of Appeals – Sofia on the Open Doors Day.

The Deputy Prosecutor of Appeals Galina Stoyanova met the future jurists and presented the major functions of the Prosecutors`Offices of Appeals.

Prosecutor Iskra Koleva, spokeswoman of the Prosecutors' Offices of Appeals – Sofia informed the students about the structure and organization of Sofia Region of Appeals, its specifics and territory range. A special attention was paid to the statute of Prosecutors' Offices of Appeals such as the one in Sofia, competences of state prosecution at regional and county level as well as to the criminal proceedings under special supervision.

The students asked specific questions related to the contests for prosecutor assistants and junior magistrates and the acquisition of practical experience in Criminal Law. Among the discussed topics were the proceedings against magistrates related to the corruption as well as the regulations in force about such kind of crimes.

The students knew about the organization of the work at the Prosecutors' Offices of Appeals – Sofia and together with Mariana Zareva visited the workplaces of prosecutors, prosecutor office registry and secretaries and thus they obtained information about the way of cases allocation and their processing.
