First Training Seminar of The Newly Elected Student Council

The newly elected Student Council held its First Training Seminar attended by its members, representatives of undergraduates and Doctoral students from the Commission on Social-Domestic Issues of Learners (CSDIL), Commission on Granting Awards and Aids (CGAA) and Commission on Scholarships of UNWE.

Guest-lecturers at the Seminar were Chief Assist. Dr. Dragomir Stefanov, lecturer at the Real Estate Property Department, Chief Assist. Dr. Yanko Hristozov, lecturer at the Finance Department and former Executive Director of the Center for Human Resources Development, Doctoral student Yana Vangelova, Chairwoman of the National Representation of Student Councils (NRSC) and Nikola Yordanov, Manager of the Bulgarian Training and Development Association (BTDA).

During the lectures

The members of the Student Council discussed some important topics related to the organization and further work as well as some actual issues. Among the conducted lectures were the following topics: Place and Role of Student Councils in the System of Higher Education (Chief Assist. Dr. Dragomir Stefanov), Actual Opportunities of Forming Practical Competencies and Realization of the UNWE Students Mobility (Chief Assist. Dr. Yanko Hristozov), Role of the National Representation in the Student Self-Management (Doctoral student Yana Vangelova), etc.

Games and trainings

Undergraduates and Doctoral students took part in the intensive trainings, couching and sports games organized by Nikola Yordanov. It assisted the team to unite in its work for the development of student self-management, education and cultural values. Among the issues commented during the Seminar were the Higher Education Act, semester fees, work at the CSDIL, scholarships, electronic Student Book, etc.
