Lecturer form The UNWE – Chairwoman of The National Commission of Spanish Language Olympiad

On 25 March in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria was held the annual National Spanish Language Olympiad for pupils from the secondary schools. Organizers of the event were the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) and the Regional Inspectorate of Education in Stara Zagora and the host – Maxim Gorky Secondary School with Spanish language teaching.  The best 115 pupils from 8 to 12 grade of study had the right to participate in the third national round.

At the solemn concert held at the Geo Milev Drama Theatre on the occasion of the Spanish Language Olympiad attended Veselina Ganeva, Educational Expert at the MES, Cesar Aja Mariño, Adviser in Educational Issues at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain, Mr. Javier Valdivielso, Director of Cervantes Institute in Sofia, representatives of the National Commission on the implementation of the Olympiad, pupils, teachers in Spanish language, parents, etc.

Prof. Dr. Daniela Koh-Kozhuharova, Head of the Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics Department at the UNWE and Chairwoman of the National Commission expressed her thankfulness to the hosts for their hospitability and to the MES for the good organization. She gave technical instructions to participants and shared her expectations that many of the prize-winners and the best ranked 12 grade pupils would choose to continue their education at the UNWE.
