Doctorate Defence by Greek Doctoral Student Educated on The UNWE Programme in The English Language

In Scientific Councils Hall was held a Doctorate Defence on the Market Segmentation in Greece on the Basis of Ethical Consumption by Antonia Delistavrou for awarding the Educational and Scientific Degree of Doctor. At the event attended Assoc. Prof. Dr. Milanka Slavova, Vice Rector for Education in the EQD of Bachelor and Lifelong Learning and Prof. Dr. Valentin Goev, Vice Rector for Scientific Research Activity.

The Supervisor of Antonia Delistavrou and Chairman of the jury for awarding the Educational and Scientific Degree of Doctor was Prof. Dr. Hristo Katrandzhiev, Vice Dean of the Management and Administration Faculty and Deputy Head of the Marketing and Strategic Planning Department. In the five membered jury participated also Prof. Dr. Galina Mladenova from the Marketing and Strategic Planning Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marusya Smokova from Dimitar Tsenov Economic Academy of Svishtov, Prof. Dr. Lina Anastasova from the Free University of Bourgas and Prof. Irene Tilikidou from the Alexander Technological Educational Institute (ATEI) of Thessaloniki, Greece.

Prof. Katrandzhiev presented the Doctoral student Antonia Delistavrou, junior lecturer at the Marketing Faculty of ATEI in Thessaloniki, Greece who has educated on the UNWE Doctoral degree programme in the English language. He outlined that the research interest of the Doctoral student is in the field of marketing research, application marketing, marketing strategy as well as in the ethical consumption and ecological consumers behavior. The research activity of Delistavrou is focused on the large number of contemporary marketing issues.

In her presentation Antonia Delistavrou featured the various aspects of consumer behavior by the viewpoint of ethical marketing and examined the ethical consumption as well as the profile of ethical consumers and the market segmentation in Greece.

Prof. Irene Tilikido gave high assessment for the Doctoral student and expressed her contentment with the presentation, Doctoral thesis  structure and themes examined by the Doctoral student. Positive assessment for the scientific work of Delistavrou was also given by the rest of the scientific jury members.
